Egyptian & Greek Themed Halloween Party
September 20th, 2007My friend Kelly is a working artist in Downtown LA and he was talking to me this weekend about throwing a Halloween Party to not only show off his artwork but he wanted to also have some sort of creative twist to the party. Since alot of his art has to do with Egyptian art and culture, I suggested he throw an Egyptian themed party. Since he didnt want 50 Cleopatras and Pharoahs dancing around, he decided to also make it a Roman/Greek party as well so that people could have more selections of costumes to wear for the party. Since he is throwing the party, he definetly picked out the best Pharoah Costume he could find, and he said he would add his own finishing touches like make up and jewelry to make it his own, using his own style. My friend Jessica, who is good friends with kelly, wanted to be an egyptian as well so she decided to find the best Cleopatra Costume and a Snake Arm Band just to add something special. My friend Sal wanted to be Egyptian as well, but more of a sexy revealing costume, so he found a fabulous Nile God Costume that is really authentic looking and sexy for a man at the same time. Since he wanted an accessory to go with his Costume he got the Egyptian Dagger that he could carry around and play with all night, just to add a little fun to his costume. Since our friend Ty was running out of ideas, he decided to get the Deluxe Marc Antony costume and match up with Jessica all night. For accessories he just got the 300 Shield and 300 Spear that are from the 300 Movie, but they go really well with his costume anyway. My friend Lucy wanted to be an Egyptian princess as well so got more of a plain, but very beautiful Egyptian Queen Costume and she also bought a gorgeous Egyptian Princess Wig to spice up her costume a bit. My other friend Danny loves horror movies, so of course he decided to get the Mummy Man Costume as well as the Egyptian Mummy Mask to go with the theme. Since me and my boyfriend were running out of options, we decided to go the Greek way and be Gods. I found a beautiful Greek Goddess Costume and a gorgeous Greek Goddess Wig to match. I also got some Gold Goddess Sandals to go with my costume. My boyfriend just wanted to be something simple so he decided to go with the Zeus Costume to match me. He also ended up getting the Roman Sandals and the Zeus Wig and Beard Set to make his costume that much better. I am really glad we all got our costumes early this year so every thing is perfect. I am also really excited about this party, I can’t wait to see how the other guests dress up!
